Spectacular is back in full force with STAY UP — a roots reggae album that hits hard with power, soul, and authenticity

After more than 25 years in the music industry and a discography filled with timeless hits, Spectacular returns to the spotlight with Stay Up — his first studio album in 9 years. A true celebration of life and the roots reggae spirit, this long-awaited project will be released on April 11, 2025, on the French label Carabeo Music.

Featuring 9 powerful tracks, Stay Up explores the core themes that define the Jamaican artist : justice, love, faith, unity, and resistance. Spectacular shares his life journey, inner strength, and vision of the world with sincerity and inspiration.

The album includes two guest appearances by long-time friends Lutan Fyah (Farmer Man) and Lymie Murray (Stay Up).

Recorded at Studio Okoumé in Madrid with the Forward Ever Band — a cornerstone of the Spanish reggae scene — the album was crafted in a rare and organic way : live riddim sessions in a collective creative atmosphere, while Spectacular composed lyrics and melodies on site. This hands-on, collaborative approach infuses the album with a unique, spontaneous energy.

Stay Up is an authentic, modern, and powerful album. Spectacular delivers a raw, unifying, and uplifting message in the purest Jamaican reggae tradition — bursting with passion and contagious energy.

Through Stay Up, Spectacular tackles deep and universal themes, staying true to his artistic commitment. He addresses struggle and resilience in the face of life’s challenges with Jump Ina Fyah and Hardcore — two powerful anthems of integrity and inner strength.

He also denounces injustice and the abuses of power (JusticeThe System), while reminding us of the importance of standing tall despite adversity with the title track Stay Up.

The album pays tribute to the people who matter most to the artist : his mother, in the heartfelt Mama Proud, and the farmers, proudly celebrated alongside Lutan Fyah in Farmer Man.

Spectacular also opens a spiritual chapter with Heart, Mind and Soul, and reaffirms his love for reggae culture with Bag A Weed — a vibrant nod to reggae legends like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Jimmy Cliff, as well as a tribute to the Rastas’ sacred herb.
